Overheating problem in daughters 2004 Jeep Liberty 2004 what turns on the radiator fan ?
My daughters Liberty overheated over the weekend we replaced a cracked radiator but now the electric cooling fan is not coming on , we checked for 12vdc at fan plug and it read 12.38VDC so we changed the fan assembly to day , fan still wont run but is only reading 9.12 VDC , checked fuses all seem fine is there a temp sensor and or fan relay somehwere that could be bad ?
it sounds to me like the engine coolant temp sensor (ect) is bad... its located between the alternator and ac compressor. there are two sensors there and it is the one closest to the front of the engine. i would go with that as it is a relatively cheap part and easy to do. good luck.
