What is the best way to handle this situation?
I've recently started to like this guy in my theater class who has my opposite roll in our fall production. I don't want to make it weird or anything, but I really enjoy being around him. He's pretty funny and just seems like a genuine, nice guy.
My best friend and her boyfriend are also in our class, and her boyfriend is best friends with the guy I like. They both *think* I like him, so I'm sure they've told him, and I'm afraid it's going to make the play awkward.
On some levels, I think he likes me, because everyone says I flirt with him, but he acts the same way.
Me liking someone is a complete turnaround. For over a year, I had struggled with a horrible bout of depression and I finally, finally feel like myself again. I'm enjoying life so much, and I don't want to screw up any chance I have with him, because he seems like a really great guy.
Any advice?
Do you think that your overcoming of depression and the introduction of this guy into your life is mere coincidence?? I think not! You're obvious radiating a much more positive perception of yourself, and somehow this guy can see that. Of course he likes you.... take the risk, pursue this relationship. So maybe your friends have made him feel awkward, so what? Take the chance and show him that you're interested. Be gently seductive around him, get him going, make him want you....'cos honestly....he likes you and is probably equally nervous about you not liking him etc. etc. TAKE THE RISK DAMMIT!!!
