Battery/Adapter Question?
I have a piano keyboard that I have powered by plugging into a wall socket.
The input in the keyboard is now loose, and when I plug it all in, I hear a bitter pitch in my keyboard (aka not enough power is reaching my keyboard through the loose input)
I loaded the back of my keyboard with the required 6 D batteries, and the sound is fine.
MY QUESTION -
Will the batteries last longer if, when I play, I plug in the adapter also?
Due to the fact that some power still channels through the input/adapter.
The adapter usually disconnects the batteries from the circuit so it doesn't charge them. Get some headphones and lower the volume will make the batteries last a little longer. You could try bypassing the plug-in by cutting off the plug from the adapter, replacing it with jumper clips, removing the batteries and clipping it to the contacts directly....If you have any doubts about what I suggested don't do it, I don't know how techie you are ok?
