Upgrade intel celeron laptop cpu?
I am currently using Intel Celeron M processor 410 (1.46Ghz, 533fsb) for my laptop [acer aspire 3680]. it is very slow..I want to upgrade/change the processor. Can anyone give suggestion?
The 410 processor with 1MB cache is not too bad considering you are running Windows XP and you have enough RAM. Upgrade the RAM to 2GB if possible and format your hard disk and reinstall Windows XP and just the programs that you need. Do not install programs like "free screensaver" or "free pop up blocking toolbar" etc.
If you want to change the processor, you may have to change the whole computer.
