Is there anything I can do to help my case in front of the judge?
I have a public defender he says I could get anything from 2-3 years because of my record. I don't think the public defender is really trying and I don't have the money to hire a lawyer.
So is there anything I can do personally to help avoid jail or prison? The charges against me is fraudulent use of a credit card.
I really don't want to go to prison but it ain't looking to good for me.
Do some community service and make sure it gets mentioned in court.
Start therapy and make sure it gets mentioned in court.
Dress nice on your court day.
Be respectful.
Start paying back the charges to the victim...even if it's just a little at a time (as much as you can afford.)
