How can I get my Wireless Cardbus Adapter to work?
My laptop is currently using an IEEE802.11b WLAN Card. It works well. But, I share it with my sister. So, I bought a card, but the connection is not working in neither laptop. The one that is not working is a Medialink 802.11b/g 54Mbps. I get a long message saying to check various things to see what's the problem, but I don't know where to begin. Please help.
Yes. The adapter came with a CD-ROM and the drivers were installed. The error message or message mentioned checking things like SSID or something, but I don't know what to look for.
is it an error or message ????? if it says searching for ssid that is the name for a wireless network, you just look for your network and connect to it , if its an error message do whats below. and please figure out exactly what the error/message says.
ok what you can do is go to my computer right click on the blank area of thet window select properties then click the hardware tab then device manager then look for the device it will be under network adapters there should be a symbol next to it like a green check mark or yellow ! or redx so if its green then there is no problem with the drivers but if its yellow or red then you can click on it and reinstall the drivers and see if that helps then great if not make sure the divice is compatible with your computer it should say on the box. another thing is the error message coming from windows or like software from the device if you could please write out exactly what the error/message says would help alot.
