How do you use an analogue microphone on a computer?
I have purchased the adapter to switch the mic from analogue to digital so the jack fits in my sound card but I can't get it to record. Is there perhaps a program or drivers you need to run an analogue mic? Someone help meeeee
It shouldn't matter because sound is sound and your quality of sound wouldn't affect your ability to record. Does the mic work when plugged it? IE - You can hear yourself talk through your speakers? If so, sound is being imputted. Built into Windows is "Sound Recorder" that does a few seconds of recording. See if you can get it to respond to your voice. If it records, it is the software you are trying to record with. If it doesn't record, you may have to check your mic or confirm that your port is activated (IE Hardware isn't disabled and needs to be enabled before any mic will work.).
