Why my windows vista do not recognize my video card?
hi,I recently installed windows vista home Premium,32 bit in a hp desktop,but my (8600gt 512mb?),video card is not recognized,in the device manager says that I only have Standard VGA Graphics Adapter,
I need it to use windows movie maker,any help will be greatly appreciated.
Are you sure that your video card is supported by Windows Vista?, also do you have the latest drivers for the video card?
I think that the problem will be the drivers. i had a problem like this a while back, i had to downlaod the latest drivers for my graphics card. you can do this by going to the video card's manufactures website and searching for drivers. Hope this help
