Calibre Geforce
Calibre Geforce

Is this a good computer system for games ? ... and if anybody how much does it cost ! ?
Asus P5N-D Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI, Socket 775
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz 6M L2 Cache 1333MHz
2 X 1GB Corsair PC6400 800MHz 240 Pin DDR2 SDRAM
Sparkle Calibre GeForce 9600 GT OC Dual Fly - 1GB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready
It's alright. The video card isn't very good, I'd recommend an ATI Radeon 4850. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770
The price break down:
ASUS P5N-D Mobo - $135
C2D E8400 CPU - $165
2gb RAM - $10
Nvidia 9600gt - $110
$420
OS = 100$ if you're also getting that
If you're buying this from a company and not building then you should pay no more than about 550-600$ for that system. If you're building it, 420$ for all the parts you listed.
I don't like that build, personally. Here's what I would do if I were you.
EVGA 750i ($150) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188026
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 ($165) - Keep the same, great CPU
4gb OCZ Reaper @ 1066 ($46) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227289
ATI Radeon 4850 ($130) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770
$491 for a much better system. The 71$ is worth it.
