Can i attach my 120GB hard drive to the xbox 360 slim with the transfer cable?
what i mean specifically is if i can just plug the cable in and use the hard drive exactly as i'm using it now with my old xbox. do i have to transfer as much as the new xbox can hold on its memory, or can i just hook it up to the old hard drive and use it as like a removable storage device?
Ant is correct, but additionally you can transfer items such as Installed Games and other Marketplace Items that only work on the Primary storage (in this case, the 250GB drive in the Slim) and use your 120GB for your profile, saves, and other things that are convenient to take around without your xbox.
And please, no one try to tell me its not possible because that's exactly what I do. I have my 250GB Slim and my old 250GB standard xbox 360 drive (from the Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition 360) as additional storage.
