I have a ps3 and have a Motorola router. I make it stand by and connect to my ps3 but cant connect to the net.

The motorola router is from verizon. The router is primary connected to my desktop. But when i press a buttom on top of the router to make it stand by i disconnect the ethernet cable from my tower case an then connect to my ps3. Then i press the button on top of the router again to make it back to normal but my ps3 could not connect to the internet. what should i do?

When you reconnect after putting your router in standby it probably isn't expecting the attached device to request an IP number.

If your PC is set to static IP, then enter the same parameters into the PS3, and it should work.

If your PC is using DHCP then you will probably need to reset your modem, after plugging it into the PS3. This will let the PS3 get an IP address from the modem.
