RE Avast free version?
Hi guys, I have been told by someone that if I load and run Avast that it will possibly remove trojans and other viruses on my sons laptop. Canj someone btell me if this is true and how bto load the proper security to get rid of these viruses.
At present the viruses are in my AVG virus vault, I just cannot remember how to get rid of them as I am disabled suffering strokes etc and my memory can be affected.
Any help will be appreciated.

hello, i am a strong supporter of avast as i have used it for the past 2 years, without any infections or bugs to date.
the best place to start would probably be:

it is free and all they ask is that you provide an email address to register, so they can get an idea of their usage statistics.
about the avg viruses, i would suggest opening avg, navigating to the "quarantine" icon or label, selecting the viruses and clicking "delete".
then again, leaving the virus in the quarantine would also be fine, while theyre in there, they are disabled and cannot do any harm unless they are restored.
