I have a digital camera that works great except bright light washes out the LCD screen and I can't view my pic?
The light washes out the LCD veiwing screen. I want to buy a camera that has a view finder plus a veiwing screen. What do I ask for?
It is a problem with all P&S cameras as well as DSLR's. You have to view the LCD in the shade.
Hoodman makes a hood you an attach to your cameras LCD to shade it from the sun, but without a viewfinder, you are sort of stuck.

When you start looking for your new camera, look for one that uses the same memory cards your old one does and one with a viewfinder.
