5. An aluminum fin 1cm thick and protruding 10 cm from the base is exposed to still water at 25C. The base and initial condition is 200C. Neglecting edge effects, you have decided to set up a numerical scheme of four nodes.

A.Determine the heat transfer coefficients for the fin?
B.Determine a forward difference expression for node 1 and 4 (You can assume that an avg. heat transfer coefficient exists for the fin).
C.What is the maximum timestep that you can have to ensure stability? D.Determine the end temperature after one timestep.

There is a figure and the only information given on the figure is that Tb=200C

I see that you posted at least five homework questions here which leads me to believe that you're either very lazy or lost. Get with your instructor, a tutor or fellow students to better understand this material. Heat transfer is not always easy but you'll be expected to know this when you're hired.
